Library access is available to external members.

sconul external

St George's is a member of the SCONUL Access scheme. This is a co-operative venture between most of the higher-education libraries of the UK and Ireland. It enables staff, research students, full-time and part-time postgraduates, and distance-learning and placement students to borrow material from other libraries. The allowance is two books from the three-week loan categories.

It also provides undergraduates with reference access to participating libraries.

Visitors must apply for SCONUL Access via the SCONUL website.

Once they have received the confirmation email from their institution, it should be brought to St George's Library Helpdesk along with a valid ID or Library card. The Library Helpdesk staffed opening hours are: Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm.

Access cards can only be issued between 9am - 5pm.
